Google’s Gemini app does not yet let you add your own connectors. Developers can use the ESQ Matching Engine from Gemini CLI today; it connects to the same MCP server.
The Gemini app (gemini.google.com) cannot add custom MCP connectors yet. This page will change when Google adds them. Gemini CLI, Google’s command-line tool, can.

Both addresses work. No sign-in or key is needed.
Use it from Gemini CLI
- Install Gemini CLI and open its settings file (
~/.gemini/settings.json). - Add the server under
mcpServers:"esq-matching-engine": { "httpUrl": "<connector address above>" }. No sign-in or key is needed. - Start Gemini CLI, check that
/mcplists esq-matching-engine, and ask your question.
Gemini CLI asks before it runs a tool. Introductions still need your explicit yes.

I got an eviction notice in Orange County, California. Can you find me a lawyer? The assistant asks for anything it still needs, then lists matching lawyers with the reasons for each. It shares your name or details with a lawyer only after you say yes. For now, introduction requests are recorded and not yet sent to lawyers, so call the lawyer’s office directly if your matter is urgent.
